We were approached to produce a short animation, that would be part of a series of other films celebrating the rich pool of talent that the UK has to offer to the rest of the world. Our part was to deliver a message about indie computer game developers.
In order to sell the idea of a computer platform game we felt it was essential to have a concept for the game.
The design of the hero and his objectives needed to fit in to our Miyazaki inspired world.
We created the game character ‘Flame Boy’, his objective is to collect Flame Spirits. With these special
spirits he can light traditional Japanese lanterns that help elevate him to another level.
